New Hornskov hat with an Empyrean Peanut Butter Porter. Additional appearances by my colleague’s Akubra.

Delicious pencil curl, porter and colleague's fedora!

This Hornskov has turned a lot of heads and garnered a lot of compliments from strangers in the few days I’ve had it.
Last night’s date night was no exception, and it returned home to enjoy the heck out of this Omni milkshake IPA, that came to South Dakota courtesy of a short, balding gentleman (thanks Eric!). @Short Balding Guy

That looks delicious. So does the food! Amazing how nice and rounded you creased that camp draft. I tried that on mine and it got sort of rigid looking and tapered.

Here’s what my evening is shaping up like:

I’ve been looking for a diabetic friendly alternative to pasta. So far, neither the kelp noodles, shiitake mushroom noodles, or squash noodles have been acceptable.
But I do enjoy a good wheat beer!

I hope you are not diabetic or pre diabetic. I like food & drink too much to like anything weak or bland. Bold is Gold! Wheat beers are weak & always taste like fresh wet cut grass.

I replace noodles with julienne zucchini, sauteed in olive oil with onions, garlic, etc, in most any dish. I add Italian sausage, marinara, rosemary, oregano and then parmesan cheese on top. Mmmmm...

Pair that with your J. Lohr, or try a Pirramimma Shiraz.

Type 2, unfortunately. And stubbornly refusing to medicate. I like bold too, but there's a good strong Hefe here in town that tastes as good as anything I ever had in Germany.

Doug, I'm going to try this!

Wore my Gannon to Granite City this afternoon.

This season's Granite City's Bourbon Barrel Aged Series is their Broad Axe Oatmeal Stout aged in Elijah Craig Bourbon casks for a minimum of 30 days. Strictly small batch. Not as flavorful as Boulevard's Bourbon Barrel Aged Series.

Next wk Granite City will be tapping their seasonal Irish Red Ale which is a blend of their Pale Ale & their Bennie German Bock. Last yr some of that Irish Red Ale was aged in Bourbon casks to produce a Bourbon blend I enjoyed very much but their brewmaster told me that it would not be available this season. This was their Bourbon Aged Ale last yr.

Beautiful color!
