Wanted: Brown Walter Dyer Moto Jacket 42-44

I’ve seen a few of these on sale here in the past, and I’ve actually found one for myself before on eBay, alas it was a little too tight in the upper chest. I had the 42, perhaps I need the 44? Also, the Natal/Netel in the same style would be good as well. I'm willing to pay anything that's not Taylor Stitch prices.

My shoulders usually fit well in a 18.5 - 19.

Are you still in the market for one of these old Dyers???? I think I have one in my collection in storage and I wear a 42-44 so it would be in that size range. I'll check into it this weekend if you are still looking for one. I need to list a few jackets and I have a couple I believe.

Alrighty then. I will touch base back in this thread next week. I just got late word (or shall I more accurately say WARNING) I've got some family (yep--INLAWS ughhhh) comin to town to visit tonight through the weekend so I probably won't be able to get to my storage unit until maybe Monday but more likely Tuesday. I am doing a data base of all of my jackets as I am being nagged TO NO END to get rid of some of them and I really need to take account of what I have and thin the herd.

I'll get back with you either way once I get a look at everything.

I recall having two brown/brownish Cafe Racers one a traditional CR and one much like the one pictured in this thread. I may have traded one out but I'm not sure. I'll see what I've got and report back next week.

Ok, so I was able to get into my Storage unit yesterday and I could only find one of my Walter Dyer jackets. Sorry for misrepresenting what I had as I was pretty sure I had both of them still. After some investigating, I recalled gifting the other one to my brother a couple of years ago when he bought a bike.

So the one I have is a slightly reddish brown Cafe Racer in size 44. It fits snug and perhaps closer to a 42. I recall both jackets ran a little small but not at all like how 50s jackets run small. Cafe Racers in general are designed for a snug fit so perhaps its just the Cafe Racer Factor at play here but I think Dyers also run a tad small. This Cafe Racer has what I would call fairly moderate normal wear and aging--some scratches & scuffs here and there but nothing major. I've posted a pic of what I would deem the most "severe" of the wear which is on the upper rear of the jacket (a few surface scratches). No tears, holes, bad stitching or bad odors. Comes from a Non Smoking owner and household. No lining wear. All zippers are intact and functioning (brass YKKs) and the jacket is heavy leather.

Asking $115 OBO plus shipping ($20.00 to Continental U.S.). It isn't currently listed elsewhere. Measurements and additional photos upon request if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the pictures. I’m on the hunt for a shirt collar style. It’s funny how that 44 seems to fit like I thought. I had a 42 previously and it was just too snug. I’ll keep looking for a 44 with the shirt collar.

Ah, it's back! I know that jacket, asked about it but the sleeves are short. For me, I mean. It's really fun looking! But thanks, man!

The brown CR is really sweet and the price is fantastic. Worth every cent.
