I just got it today so I’m not sure about how many hours the previous owner logged. I plan to go slow with my denim jackets and won’t wash them unless they become somehow stained or dirty. I don’t want to become one of those fade wash/soak zen masters with an elaborate recipe of wear vs wash calculus.

Thanks man. It is nice. It’s not as nice as the IH 526 but it’s certainly a solid jacket. The broken twill makes for an interesting denim. It’ll be fun to wear it in.
I'm soaking my jacket in luke warm water and dettol now, to get rid of any possible shrinkage and excess dye, will wear it to dry later to set in creases
will do some cycling a bit to nearby convenient shop when it's semi dry.
I'm full on convert, I even need to wear hot patch on my lower back from sitting on bulky wallet in my back pocket, and thinking about leather key pouch for the other back pocket to even out the pocket wear and hip position while sitting, what have I become.

I cinched the waist adjuster and then from inside I tapered the true waist with temporary hand stitches, i think this fits perfectly now.
Originally it fit straight the hem is fit enough but not cool enough
The denim is indigo x black 14 oz, local brand, quite happy with everything else, it has 2 inside pockets too by somehow using the handwarmers pocket bags sewn to the waist band and facing forming inside pockets, smart.

Are you claiming I wear my Denim jackets so long that they cover my hips and even thighs...or did you just jump to denim jackets after that statement? Tell you what I wouldn't pay good money for a jacket that rode above my belt or even showed my belt while standing in denim or leather. I'd feel ridiculous like an adult in his little brothers jacket.

You definitely won't like the way my Type III fits me then...
...and you probably won't be alone. This is the jacket I mentioned upthread that I don't remember buying. Probably 1990s-era and a size too big according to most--shoulder seams hanging past my shoulders, sleeves down to my knuckles, torso length definitely below my belt line--but I've always preferred to wear clothes that are too loose rather than too snug anyway (and I've lost about 40 pounds in recent years), so I like it. Soft and very comfortable, and enough room to wear a number of layers beneath it. I don't particularly care how it looks on me from a "fashion/style" perspective, but I think it looks okay.
Just to be clear, I'm not "piling on". I sincerely appreciate honest critiques that are both positive and negative. But in this case, I think I've beaten everyone to the punch.

Hmm, after adopting new habit of wearing all these raw djinn, i got chafed skin on the ankle where the super rough denim and chainstitch hem grinding into my skin and along the inseam same cause especially on the lower leg when the rough fabrics and stitches, and also the pit of those stacking grinds all contact points on my lower leg, back of my knee, and now naturally my wrist too
I wonder if the way people in the past wear those in shapeless wide straight leg is because of this.

That's a really nice jacket! You don't see this often. Not even with the top shelf brands.
Those creases are the coolest, the ones on the back. Figured you'd get 'em by going from a bar to bar. You just gotta sit a lot and do nothing and the jacket rewards you for it. What more could one want from life.
