3 VS hats for sale 7 3/8 LO

Hey everyone! With a heavy heart I am having to part with a significant number of my hats.

This will most likely be the first of several posts. It may take me some time to get everything posted as I’m trying to decide which ones to keep and what to let go.

I’ll add more photos, details and the prices of these three hats in the replies below.

First up is a Casablanca inspired fedora.

Felt-beaver
Color-Sandstone (brownish grey color)
Ribbon- 1 5/8” Black
Brim-2 1/4” underwelt
Crown-4 3/4” as creased. Closer to 5 1/2-3/4” open
Opening-8 1/8” long. 6 1/4” wide

Other details
There is some very light moth damage. Felt was carefully sanded down to return it to a smooth finish. Only place it’s really noticeable is underneath the brim by the sweatband on the front

Ribbon-2” dark grey
Brim-2” bound
Crown-5 1/8” as creased. 5 1/2-3/4” open
Opening-8 1/8” long. 6 1/4” wide

Other details
I’ve had this hat a while and sent it back to Art not too long ago to have it redone. The felt on this hat has faded some. Currently it has a center dent but you can see fading where the previous crease was. This isn’t noticeable if you put back in a teardrop.

You can also see the felt is a little darker over the center of the bow where the old ribbon used to be

Whew....just glad Max is busy packing for his fishing trip to WI. Very hard buying hats when he's on the hunt. lol. Hope you're enjoying your vacation time Max.

Art is retiring in December. Last I heard he was probably going to stop taking new custom orders some time next month. (I'm trying to scrounge up the cash and crossing my fingers I can still get in the queue.) Not sure if this applies to refurbishment work as well or not.

I don't think there has been any mention of closing for good. The business is for sale, but any more specifics beyond that haven't been announced yet to my knowledge. Perhaps someone who has recently received or placed an order knows more.
