Cal CHP. Obvious repairs done to jacket but that wouldn’t bother me for a cool beater jacket. $100. I already own too many CHPs.

Speaking of Cal leather, are they the only maker who lined with a small part of wool/shearling inside cuffs like this?

It is one of a number of the tell-tale signs to look for in order to ID the jacket as a Cal. I would say that Cal is the only maker doing this on pretty much all their jackets. Probably others in the past have done it here and there but not to the extent that Cal did and does. My Lost Worlds CHP, a Cal repro, also has the mouton lining.

Yes. There was another vintage jacket I saw that had the lined cuffs but for the life of me I can’t remember the maker. Pretty sure it was a police jacket, also out of San Francisco.

Sometimes you happen on a treasure locally. On facebook marketplace, I happened on a guy selling a US Wings Modern A-2 goatskin, that is basically NWOT. I met the guy personally to try it on, and wow! Talk about a perfect jacket. Oh well, he would have gotten a lot more for it if he tried selling it on eBay. It's obvious the guy didn't know the value of his jacket since he got it as a gift from an aunt.
Now I'm in the hunt for a nice G-1.
