More matching of blue fedora and tie decades today. A Pilgrim cravat was my choice.

Beautiful Pilgrim, Eric. In my mind it's getting close to that time of year for the falling leaves....even if in my reality it's not.

Thanks sir. The Pilgrim ties of this era are really fun to wear.

I too am pushing the Fall season. Next week we should warm up to nearly 80'f. Positive Mental energy here for leaves to come tumbling down - temps come tumbling down. I hope Fall comes to your neighborhood soon.

Silly as a scarecrow, Eric -

Warm up to 80? Heck, I can't wait til it drops to 80. A couple of weeks hovering at triple digits, next week is expected to see storms and cool into the low 90s.

In spite of the very un-autumnlike temps, here's a photo of my small selection of falling leaves ties. In anticipation of the season.

Anyone else got some to share?

Good evening folks. Today I wore a vintage tie. A previous owner cut the label out of the tie. The remnants of the cut label remain sewn into the lining of the smaller end. It is a silk tie. The silk tie has the feel of 40's silk and the lining is similar to ones of that decade, but this is all conjecture. It is certainly 40's-50's. Either decade I like the tie.

Label or not, that's a fine one, Eric. The graphics and colors are outstanding, and though I can't feel the silk through the screen, I'm with you in your estimate of it's vintage.

Yellow rose with knot planned pattern. Tag says Duo-Lined.

Excellent tie. It will be very wearable, I think. I often ponder on the naming of the ties - Duo lined. Hmmm....better than others because of the duo lining? Choose me because of better lining? For me the attraction is pattern, color and wearability.

All the above aside, congrats sir on a superb wearable vintage tie.

Thank you sir. I thought about that name a good bit myself. Is it the manufacturer? Or just a gimmicky name for a feature of the construction...like the many catchy titles for a felted brim on a hat
