That's great! I think almost any jacket looks better broken in anyway. I can't think of a single jacket I have owned that has gotten worse after break in.

That’s the beauty of leather and denim. Everything else basically becomes “worse” the moment you start to wear it. Suits, sports wear etc. but leather and denim are the complete opposite!

Agreed! I would say leather even more because the leather items such as boots and jackets can last a lifetime and continuously get better while denim certainly gets better, but eventually it will disintegrate. I think this is at least in part why I enjoy my boots and leather jackets even more than my raw denim.

The title says it all. Aero jacket #3 has just made it home and I’m more than satisfied with its outcome. For the first time I went through the highly recommended Thurston Bros fitting process (See discussion related to the fit jacket here) and included learnings from my other two jackets (Boardracer and Ridley) to specify something that’s for my personal taste close to perfection.

The PHWY grabbed my attention when I was looking for something less “biker”, but still classy. Honestly, it was also @ton312 who convinced me with his (former) midnight blue PHWY that this jacket is a great combination of edginess and classic design.

I will come up with a more detailed review later, but wanted to post some pictures fresh out of the box before.

Some specifications first:
- PHWY size 44, 2 inch drop towards bottom
- tumbled brown FQHH (I asked for “not too grainy, medium brown and substantial thickness”, as Carrie said “a solid challenge for the cutter”)
- Angled chest pocket as on Halfbelt
- Double D-Ring cinches
- Classic Highwayman back yoke
- And what I like best, the rivets normally required with the Hookless zipper, combined with an easier to operate Talon zipper

I have never handled a comparable leather. It’s waxy, soft, thick, marbled, grainy - everything I could ask for.
Thanks for all the helpful input on my fit jacket. Again a joint effort of you guys, Carrie and experience from my past orders.
Enough words, now pictures!
