Scratched the silver belly itch today thanks to Bill Hughes. This Black Sheep Hat Works custom is a real sweetheart. Super soft and smooth felt, nice construction and a cool brass highlight on the bow. I think this one will get some serious head time. Thanks my friend!

Fantastic shape, waves, and flows on that Black Sheep, Mike. Definitely deserves some serious head time.

Let me hog this thread for a wee while. A few additions I haven't posted yet.
Wegener Cornett homburg in niederrad colour (google translate couldn't figure it out). Size 55 (but Wegener tends to run a bit large) with the bound brim at 6cm and the crown at 11,5cm at the center dent. Unusual colour for a homburg, which is why I bought it. Cornett started off as a model name for Wegener but later on got its own brand (still made by Wegener).
Couldn't find anything on Heinrich Stakelbeck.

With additions like those 4 Stefan, you can hog all the way to hogmanay. Seriously, I'm so pleased they're not my size, I'd have been too tempted to buy them all. Some right sized heads are in for a lucky treat when they buy any one of those. Nice finds, my friend.

Very classy color on that one, Stefan, almost has a gold tone to it.

A new Portis for me. I’ve been looking for another one after being so impressed with my first one, and thought this one was unique. It’s a 3X Silver Beaver and a unique ribbon. I’m not sure if it is a suede finish, as I’ve never had one to compare, but it is definitely a longer nap than any I have. Love the color and fits great. I usually change the bash right away on a hat, but I really like this one as it came. Kinda like the feather too.

Enjoy the lull while it lasts, Steve;) The week isn't over yet! But it doesn't get old to find hats like these.

Thanks, Randy. Well pleased to have found that one. It's a rare colour for a homburg.

New to me, this interesting all, or mostly wool, 1930s Harald, German Homburg. The third of the three hats I gifted to my self thanks to our favourite Dutch hat enabler [emoji4].

First all wool Homburg I've encountered with a back bow. It rang all the bells for me history, shape, form, make-up wise. Just had to have it. The wind-cord was the icing. Thanks to Stefan for allowing it to be sent my way.

Awesome Hat! I will say back in the 20's and 30's, hats like that were not sold as homburgs but rather up-brim soft hats (fedoras). Look at some of my early catalog postings and you will see what I mean.......
Whatever you wish to call it.....it is simply stunning......quite the hat! Great find!

A recent find, this black custom 7X from JW Hats in Salt Lake City. This one has a very smooth finish and very soft, comparable to my Stetson Imperial. The crown is on the short side (5 open, 3 3/4 finished) with a lot of taper for what I call an Aussie top. 2 1/2 brim is a good size for me but while the size is right (7 1/8), the crown is just too short for me to wear, so I'll have to move this one on to a new owner.

Man, that is a short crown. I wonder if you could make a pork pie out of it.....

The seller’s photos didn’t make it look that low. I’m sorry that this hat didn’t work for you, particularly since it sounds like it’s otherwise a very nice hat.

I wonder who commissioned a custom hat with such a low crown?
