It's been a post and pre war European Homburg couple of days. Antonin France, dark blue, circa late 1940s, then a German, 1930s all wool, black, back bowed, wind-corded, Harald.

Back in the day it probably wasn't called a homburg, but no matter what it was called, it would have made them call you "sir!"

Wegener Cornett homburg in niederrad colour (google translate couldn't figure it out). Size 55 (but Wegener tends to run a bit large) with the bound brim at 6cm and the crown at 11,5cm at the center dent. Unusual colour for a homburg, which is why I bought it. Cornett started off as a model name for Wegener but later on got its own brand (still made by Wegener).
Couldn't find anything on Heinrich Stakelbeck.

Brummel's homburg in black. Size 60 (sold to me as a size 62, but they were wrong) with the brim at 6,5cm and the crown 11cm at the center dent, this is a substantial hat. I think the seller mistook the 7 3/8 label as being a French size, which would make it closer to a size 62. It is in fact English sizing. Brummel's was a Belgian brand. I believe there is some connection between the brand and Borsalino, because the finishing of the hats is very similar indeed. The size labels are exactly the same for instance. The felt is fantastic.

Borsalino Export Qualität homburg in mirtillo. Size 55 with the brim at 5,5cm and the crown 10cm at the pinch. Still looking for a Borsalino Mirtillo homburg for myself, but this one isn't it (dammit). It's just too small for me (close, but not close enough). Mid-sixties to mid seventies, made for the German market. My guess would be that this one still sixties.

This Belgian, Valensy Homburg, ca. 1950s, deserves its place among the Nation of Homburgs. A very kind Christmas gift from Stefan, to whom I am so very grateful.

It has a wonderful, dense felt and some very nice quality finishing. If this is their standard hat, I can't wait to see their next level lids.

It's a name I didn't know before, but one definitely worth looking out for in the future.

Thank you once again to Sinterklaas [emoji145]

Classic in every way, Steve. Black homburgs apparently were a style every manufacturer did.

And the best manufacturers did them in a most excellent way. Thank you for this one, Stefan.

Joseph Wilson&Sons of Denton, England, "the Wilson Hat" homburg in black. Size 57, but fits me perfectly. Bound brim at a generous 6,5cm and crown 11cm at the center dent. Quite large proportions for a homburg, but it doesn't look it. It still appears a fairly sleek looking hat. Late forties or early fifties, but could even be pre-war.

Scala homburg:

This isn’t a hat I normally would have looked at, but the price was right (less than lunch), and it was “New With Tags.” It arrived with some light mothing on the crown, but the felt was plenty thick enough to allow some vigorous sanding that removed it all. The felt is thick, but it’s reasonably soft. I was able to mold it to the shape I wanted, but it took lots of steam to do it.

It’s immediately apparent that this hat was made to a lower price point, but it seems to be solid and up to some hard wear. As a bonus, it isn’t black. I can forgive the lower quality materials and the mediocre build quality, but I do wish they gave it a better shape. Using a better block shape wouldn’t have cost anything...well, maybe a bit more since the proportions would require a bit more felt. If you’re going to make a cheap hat, what not at least copy the shape of a beautiful classic hat?

That one does look like it could use a little help, Brent. Perhaps you will find a good use for it...or a good home later.
