No inside photos. No guarantee on size. No brand provided. I sill couldn’t say no to this hat for $6! I’m not much of a gambler, but a hat with a felted edge for $6 is worth a roll of the dice.

I hope it's a MacLachlan 100 in 7 5/8 LO. That would chap Max for sure! :D
Regardless of what it is, I'm sure you could find it a good home if it doesn't fit.

Maybe we should make a poll and all take a guess which brand it is. See how knowledgeable we really are here on the lounge.:) I'm going for Dobbs.

The strangest thing happened this morning: I bought an old bowler off of Facebook Marketplace and I couldn't get this lady to ship it or give me her phone number (?) so I drove 80 miles down to try and find her house. I found it, all right, and it was two streets over from where I bought a bowler from another woman last Fall!
I'm getting closer to the place and it's like entering The Twilight Zone: I know where I am, something's not right, it's in this same development 80 miles from home, it can't be...
Yes, it can be!

It's a perfect fit but I will need to send it out to have the brim binding replaced as it took a tumble on the right hand side somewhere along the way.
Here it is, right out of the old Stetson box the owner had it in, a neat old guy who bought it back in 1969 when he was performing in My Fair Lady in NYC. He said it was old when he got it so who knows just how old this one really is.
