Simmons Bilt J100 in black goat. Worn on today's Thursday Harley ride as the weekend and beyond has to be WET !
Talking in the photo , no wonder my male modelling days are well behind me at 61 haha..Coastal jaunt as usual.
Loving this jacket , and my only one with a 2 way RIRI zipper which is good on the bike.

Lol....i’m old but not that old.
Yes in 73, sold a killer 69Z28 and bought the jacket and a bitchin Marantz stereo before i went in the Corps. Listen to the Marantz all the time, jacket still fits.

OHHH, which model? THe 70s were the true Golden Age for hifi, and Marantz stereo receivers from that peiord are the best. If 2270s were as common over here as they are still in the US, I'd snap one up. Marantz still make great (and reasonably priced - for audiophile hifi anyhow), but they've never quite fully recaptured the aesthetic of that 70-79 period, just the tail end of MCM.

I have a mean Marantz stereo. Well, I think it's mean... It's broken but it was me mums prized posession. Reminds me I gotta get it fixed.

Worth doing. It'll sound pretty much better than anything you could spend the same money on today, and in twenty years time, if looked after, it's still be worth at least what it is now.

Mate, that one looks super cool! Is that the cowhide stock from their website or a goatskin request? Custom size specs or off the rack? Please do share your wisdom and ordering tips, you nail it every time with Five Star Leathers!

Thank you very much :)
This is a Steerhide with a thickness of 1.2 mm and is very light with only 3.75 lbs. Shawn told me that unfortunately this is not his own leather, he bought it from the market. He had his own not in stock. But I think Shawn's specialty is actually goat leather. The heavy version with 1.2 mm thickness is really great.
My recommendation is to calculate all the dimensions of the desired jacket yourself and make a drawing with these dimensions. And then point out in every email that compliance with the dimensions is very important ;)

What do you think of the Five Star trucker? Can it be made in goat? Goat suede perhaps? The base price is pretty great.

Mr Proper's bike is nice , but this one is nicer ! ( sorry mate !)
Schott 637 steerhide and a "Cholo" styled Harley custom. Too flashy for a 61 year old ?
Actually it is a wee bit too "loud" for me...

Fantastic, I remember once a comment about popular music: "If it's too loud, you're too old." You're not too old.

I had a midlife itch, and as I had just turned fifty back then, this old photo scrapes in just under the wire.

My Godson's new baby has just had his first jacket made for him, but he's going to have to wait until 2070 before he's eligible to pose in it. Chances are, he might have outgrown it by 2070. Still, he could always show us a now and then photo.
