An old dirty, foxy, sweaty.... and I believe moldy Stetson western hat Silverbelly with light yellow/ivory duo cord ribbon that came in with a couple other hats. It a bit big for me at 7 3/8 but still a little clean up project hat.

Any thoughts on age... I was thinking it’s a more modern hat. Though the size tag only shows 7 3/8 and not cm as well.

I wasn’t able to make out hardly anything left of the sweat impression.

A real good thorough brushing cleaned up much of the little tan spots and mold and even lightened some of the sweat stains. I will see what I can do further on the sweat stains.

You don’t want to know Brent. :(

A saw this one too and took a small stab, the original labeled box had me wanting to shovel more though.

I lost one to another Lounge member on Goodwill...must be a year or more now. I still kick myself for not making a higher bid.

To be honest Brent, that would have been at almost the very height of my ‘I need a CB’ search and my limit was much higher then than now. I was in pretty deep for that one.

Thanks .. my first "official" Playboy .. Stefan was kind enough to pass along that gorgeous raw edge black Medalist which I understand is similar to a Playboy.
Still need to get that one to succumb to my bash-wishes.

What year do you put the above Playboy? I get confused with size tags with "Stetson" and without.

I'd like to see the inside tags, but the liner says late 50s early 60s to me.

I've not heard a Medalist compared to a PB before, but it will be interesting to hear what you have to say. In my experience, there is something about the softness of a PB that no other Stetson I have had in hand is comparable to.

I understood the "123" block and width of ribbon were the similarities?
Felt on this hat is really wonderful .. not sure yet how it compares with a Playboy.
Stefan's pics to jog our memories.

I don’t begrudge you the hat. You might still have ended up with it too. I Just regret not bidding as much as it was worth to me so even if I lost it I would not regret not going higher. I haven’t seen another in my/our size since then. Most of my losses are quickly forgotten but that one still haunts me.

You wear it well and if I couldn’t get it I’m glad you did.

We've noted PBs with Block 122 as well as 123. There doesn't appear to be much difference between them. I think we have Strats on the 122 as well, but don't quote me on that. The ribbon width is the standard, though, and most PBs have the stitched edge.

You'll have to be the judge comparing the felt though. Looking forward to it.
