Just an innocent looking Mahogany cabinet.
Top has a piano hinge to open up.
Second drawer down pulls open & has 2 shelves behind lower door fronts.
Top drawer front hinges open to lay flat. Bar caddy slides out to sit on drawer front or to caddy.

Thanks Dale. I've looked all over it but have found no brand or manufacturers name. I don't think it was homemade or converted. It has an old fumed Mahogany finish on it so it has some age to it. The 12 bigger holes in the caddy hold rocks glasses, the 6 smaller holes hold shots. I have an old glass ice bucket for the center. I was really wanting a cabinet to display bottles but the bottles will have to be kept on the shelves I guess.

I don't think its as old as prohibition. Pre War 1940's would be my guess. I think that was getting to the end of the Mahogany era, especially with the cheap fumed finish. But I don't know.
When I was a teen where I grew up someone distilled a Bourbon everyone drank that everyone called Preacher's Secret. The kind that came in a gallon jug. Probably in the 1990's I tried to register & trademark the name Preacher's Secret but the name has been registered before. Since then I've even found a pipe tobacco under that name that I like a lot. Whenever I see a hideaway like this cabinet the name Preacher's Secret always comes to mine.
I was supposed to pick the cabinet up this morning but I've decided to pass. It's not exactly what I want so I'm going to keep looking.

No thrifts or fleas this weekend, but a couple of old barn finds. I did a little research on the refrigerator dish after I got it cleaned up. Apparently it was made by Federal glass.

Cool finds Dale! Amazing that the refrigerator dish still has its lid.
That old barn in something else! I found a beam similar to those (faced on two sides) buried in our creek bed. A tip of it became visible when flooding changed the creek channel. Took some effort to dig it out and get it hauled out of there. Not sure what I'll do it yet, but I had to save it. Roughly 10" x 7" and 16' long.

We have quite a few refrigerator dishes like that. Back in the day an uncle on my wife's side was in the used appliance & repair business. My favorites are those made by Pyrex; they can go from the cold fridge to a hot burner & not crack.

FFA sweatshirt.
Bathroom wall sconce (with outlet in the bottom) that I will repurpose in the shop.
Lot of silver-plate flatware, some of them from restaurants / hotels.
And the kitchen sink ... cast iron.
The molasses are from a vintage tractor / farm equipment rally. They harvested, processed and cooked the cane yesterday using the vintage equipment.

Today's find from an estate sale. Wah Maker old west wear. 2 vests one ladies skirt and coat and a Scully bib shirt. Also a gate leg table of nice tiger oak.

Nice haul yourself Ed! That table is really nice. I've picked up a couple of Wah-Maker shirts in thrifts and have always been on the lookout for more.
Thanks for the like on the FFA sweatshirt, etc. I'm still on the lookout for the blue FFA corduroy jacket. There has to be a big farm kid around here that no longer needs his jacket. I even thought of buying a new one as they were on sale recently.
I found a date on the farm sink today when trying to see if it might fit in our kitchen. 1948 from the American Radiator & Standard Sanitary Corp. (before becoming American Standard).

That makes it even better when you know it's vintage. The history of items we seek adds to the interest. Here is a couple of Morris recliners that I found at a local thrift store a while back. They came Zzyzx springs. A health resort near Baker CA. Doc Springer operated a religious radio broadcast and invited people to come and purchase land nearby. The problem was, it wasn't his land. He was sent to prison and the resort shut down in the seventies.
