I like this Cargo Field Jacket my of very soft rough out deerskin made in Germany by Meindl who are also makers of Bavarian Lederhosen but almost 2000€ is simply too expensive for me...

I agree with you. I'm not sure if they do sales like fashion brands. From quality perspective they are top notch and I'm pretty sure not worse than the Japanese stuff, just different materials and styles. I used to own Meindl leather hiking boots which are high quality and as a native Bavarian (from Munich area) I know people who own high quality Meindl Lederhosen for wearing at "Wiesn" (Oktoberfest) ;-)

My Meindl Lederhosn was around 1000€,
a pair of shorts mind you.
But lasts forever and is usually passed on. And € 1000 is a good price. but is open-ended
