Not sure if this is a deal at all, but it sure does look pretty cool.

That's Scott, not Schott. Rather deceiving listing for sure. Scott is your standard EU / UK 80's motorcycle jacket quality which is rather good but you can find these and ones like it for like 50 quid or so. Jackets like these were produced by millions here. I'd look only into Hein Gericke, Harro, Dainese, LL of course, Polo (not the Ralph Lauren stuff), Segura and a few other brands. Polo used some of the nicest leather I've seen.

Furygan is a step below the brands I listed above but they're okay.
Thanks for the heads up

If you ever decide to get one of these colorful racers let me know, I'll find you a good one. Leather on some of these German ones can be like twice as thick as anything US made, except maybe Natal.

These for example are very well made and incredibly heavy. Just pure quality...

I put the Scott up just for fun, but what about the Furygan more subdued but still nice style and color combination. I do not need heavy just quality.

Like I said, Furygan is okay but not Polo / Hein Gericke / etc. quality. They always used lighter leather, even back in the 70's and the 80's and were a cheaper option but by no means low quality. Kind of half-way there between fashion and motorcycle gear.

I always found Furygan to be extremely similar to Segura, to the point that I think they either came from the same factory or one one switched name for the other. Don't know.

Furygan and Segura are both nice, either way. You can't go wrong with either.

I really wish there's more info on these cool European makers but nobody knows much about them, even though most of these serious riding jackets that were made in Europe were quality beyond any comparison.
