I was going to say. My vintage HD CR also has got seriously pointy shoulders and beefy upper arms. Still incredible.
I’m curious how it will fit me when I get it, I’m rather interested in getting the sleeves done properly so I’ll get new images tomorrow after they modified it.

Im sure that the advice provided by TFL’s 5* and pattern gurus will set you straight. From the outside looking in, if 5* is given precise instructions, he normally pulls it off.

I guess if it were me, it wouldn’t be a deal breaker. I have a few jacket with pointy shoulders (my HD and Vanson CR come to mind) and it doesn’t bother me. Both fit in the shoulders as they should, it just is what it is.

@Riu the cafe racer looks nice, hope you get it all sorted out with 5* before it ships out

Thank you @Jin431. I like it and I hope after they do the alterations it will be much better

I like how the steerhide looks but I’m curious how it feels when I’ll get it.

Pretty much what El Marro said. I don't have the knowhow to give Shawn the measurements needed for a jacket to come out correctly. I'm lucky if I can take my own measurements accurately to send to Aero or Thurston Bros....But for those like you that can....have at it !!
I’m sure you could if you put the time in and tbh my first five star was an absolute disaster fit wise.

Unless it's really bad, I don't think it will bother me either. Also, it looks different on different people so I'll just have to wait until I can try it on.

@Riu I hope it is to your liking. Hopefully it is supple/thick/non squeaky hide with lots of natural grain

I like it and I want to see how it will develop in time but first I'm curious how it fits me :)

I wanted the goat first and Sawn said he's also got the steerhide with the same thickness and I thought I'd have a look at it. To me, the steerhide seemed that it had more character than the goatskin and I went for it. The goatskin that I really liked was the veg tanned I saw here but it was much thinner so I didn't want it.

I hope the measurements and actual fit finds you well!

I think a thick veg tanned goatskin would be really wonderful to wear but a substantial steerhide will be too. Can't wait to see fit photos soon, all the best!

yeah that peaky shoulder is likely combination of too flat of a shoulder drop, and the sleeve slightly rotated forward a la racer sleeve, I think easiest solution for an already made jacket is just wet the shoulder and wear it over sweater.

if it is still with the maker or going to be revised then
if the armpit is still has enough room, you can reshape the shoulder drop to make it steeper + the upper sleeve would be made tighter too as a result, or if the armpit is already high then the shoulder can't be made steeper then it need a new sleeve, with different shoulder angle, more spreading sleeve not as spreading as A2 flying pose joke but something in between, I prefer to keep the forward rotation in, to me forward rotation on the sleeve is just adding comfort for doing many activities beyond riding

don't nitpick the shoulder from behind, if you have the rear look to be super neat then you can't do much activities in your jacket.

A few quick fit pics.
The dimensions are spot on, the workmanship is flawless. All details are exactly as instructed. The press studs are much better than the jeans buttons on the trucker jacket.
Nevertheless I am not convinced. The leather feels more like chamois leather (washleather). Not necessarily bad, but different. Too soft and too thin for my taste. The leather with a thickness of 2 mm would be something completely different. Fresh out of the box it looks more like a mall jacket because it lacks character. I hope this will be change a little bit with wear.
The color is of course also a matter of taste, but I wanted to try something new. I'm not sure about that yet.
However, I have to say that the jacket is very comfortable to wear. Very light, like a fabric jacket or a sturdy shirt. Not bad for the summer or at home.
In retrospect, I should have taken buffalo, but I knew that I was taking a risk and I can't blame 5* for that. On the contrary, Shawn did a great job.

The fit is fantastic as always! I like the color as well actually, I think for a shirt that the lighter/thinner leather works well. Not sure about the pocket design though.

thanks :)
I like the lower pockets very much, I would now leave out the details of the breast pockets. Sometimes I'm too adventurous lol

Wow, that jacket looks spot-on fit wise!

Apart from the leather thickness, the only thing I would have done it differently is the hand warmers - to add a bit of weight to them.

The fit is indeed spot on, looks like the perfect summer shirt, you might end up using it more than you think

That’s fantastic, really like it and the press studs just finish it off (different effect with the buttons). Imagine it will be great for summer, a few more creases and some wear in, doesn’t shout at you like some jackets / shirt, very cool, set me thinking about similar in unlined goat suede.
