Based on the pull and slide (plus what you and @Mysteryo have put out there "on the line" about the Penney's, Sportclad and Kurland jackets), I'm thinking late 40s. The only thing throwing me off is that the stopper on mine doesn't say Talon. Early 50s possible too, they just used some older zip parts. Or the Talon-less stops were also used during the tail end of the 40s but became the stop of choice in the 50s. I do not know. The jacket is old. Anyways, hope the picture helps.

That top one is the aviator Kurland, correct? With the large, simple D Pocket. Cool jacket.

As is the Wolverine.

Edit: The Kurland disappeared. LOL. NP, just stating this so fellow members do not think I started drinking early.

Speaking of two way... earlier on this thread someone posted their All Saints leather. I thought I'd post my All Saints find. I saw this while traveling a few years ago, in their Seattle store. Whenever I like a jacket, but not ready to pull the trigger, I always take a pic of the tag for reference. After I returned home, I start thinking how nice this jacket was, I did a search online and found it on Nordstrom website for 1/2 price...Score! Very unusual for these more fashion leaning jackets to have such heavy duty zips and also the two way zipper function... glad they did it. It's not for riding, but it's been a good knock around/travel leather. BTW, I cut the epauletes off, because they were driving me nuts and I'm not such a fan, just didn't like the way they looked on this particular jacket.

I've seen some lost in translation instances where Japanese retailers say something is suede when it is actually roughout. For example when I was ordering things off global Rakuten they had red wings which I knew were roughout boots but translated to suede. Not sure if you speak the language better than myself and Google translate but it was a pretty common occurence for me.

Yeah that's a good point. I actually have a friend that I could ask about this. He may know. I'll reach out to him and post what he says. It seems more like roughout to me, but I'm not really an expert on suede and roughout having not owned a ton of each.

Nice. I like the HH a lot. My first Aero was my Bootlegger, and it has possibly been my most-work leather over the years. At some point, I'd quite like one in another leather, possibly goat... the HH would be a good choice for a bit of variation. Tempted by the idea of a button front and no chest pocket-zip....
