I have another similar dress Resistol but liner and sweat aren't nearly as elegant.

Tho' I've been on the hunt for a nice red lined western, this Regent turned up first.
Nice light hat that fits really well. I dig contrasting stitching on binding.

Wide brim Resistol fedoras are tough to find. Good get on a great hat!

Second. Resistol beaver 20, tan with dark green ribbon and felted edge brim. The exact color hues are hard to be captured on camera.

I don't own a western Resistol, but the dress fedoras are great.

Around 1950, Idaho saddlemaker Ray Holes was selling lots of Resistol hats. Back then the manufacturers didn't supply promos so Ray decided to make his own.

My red liner Resistol showed up. It will need some TLC before it’s ready to go in the rotation. 5 1/2” open crown and 3” raw edge brim.

Those red liner Resistols are nice solid hats. I can tell you this: if it was a size or two larger I’d be making a play for it.

Some of you must've seen these beauties a few weeks back? Both just gorgeous I think. I made an half hearted attempt at the "Twelve Fifty" but got laughed down. Anyway, been to meaning put em' here for posterity's sake. Hope someone here got them and will post about them! First three are the "Twelve Fifty" last two a "Beaver 15".

Thanks, Robert. This pine green is much greener that my nutria in sage. The sage, mine anyway, is a gray with light green tones. There is no mistaking this Resistol as anything other than green.

Is that a six ply ribbon? I am tearing down a 1940's Stetson with a 6 ply but it turns out to be two - 3 ply ribbons stacked.
