Hi all. My first post in this thread. I thought I was more of an engineer boot kinda guy, but I just stumbled on these on eBay and am intrigued. Does anyone know anything about Mason Western boots? Are they any good? Close to Brannock sizing? Thanks!

I don't know anything about Brannock, but their sizing is probably close to Red Wing or other work boots. Mason makes (or used to) shoes and boots for heavy industry. Way back at one point they had a truck that would come around to the shops and garages and warehouses and sell shoes and boots like the Snap-On tool man does. They're pretty sturdy boots and ought to last you forever, if they fit.
Edit: Work America is the brand name that Mason is producing these days. They still have that western style in their catalog, alongside the old school black shop oxfords like mechanics and mailman used to wear, and a whole bunch of construction worker and police and e.m.t. styles. There are several online retailers carrying them.

Kickin the dollar margarita gators this afternoon.
In the late 70’s to early 80’s, when I was still roaming the boot aisles of western stores, looking for my next pair from the big three, I always passed these by. I didn’t really know anything about packers or their history. More of a novelty to me, they looked too much like the work boots I wore, or so I thought.
A few years ago I got curious about them and started looking for a pair, TL’s specifically. I’ve never seen any Noconas and don’t know if they ever offered any and most of the Justin’s I’ve seen look like lace up ropers. Ended up buying a pair a White’s Hathorn packers some time ago and realized what I’d been missing. After several swings and misses over the years, I finally found a pair that checked all of the boxes. Nothing on these boots to identify them as TL’s other than the heel caps and the toe bug. Model and size printings are TL like. Shrunken shoulder and calf, 13” tall with a 2” heel.

Nice find, Cuz! The stitched tops look real good! You don't see 'em like that often. I bet the TLs and the Whites are night and day. Not that the Whites aren't comfortable, because I know they are, but because both of those together probably weigh less than one of the other pair.

Those look really cool, close to the kind of cowboy boot I have in mind - not too extreme on the heel, more of a plainer look overall. Sort of like a harness boot, but with the option to dress it up or down with some spur-straps (whatever they call them when they're for decoration and don't actually have spurs) at will.
Nice. I do like that croc look.
