I'd strongly advise some shoetrees!

I never really completely understood the purpose of shoetrees. You seeing something happening there that warrants the device? As I frequently rotate my boots and often wear them throughout the day, any day, I'm too lazy to do anything with them.

I do stuff my Pradas with the paper inserts they came with but that's about it.

yes, those really evident deep creases on the front. They might eventually crack at some point.
Shoe trees will not only make your shoes look better but actually make them last longer. They absorb sweat and humidity (the wood - cedar ones- thus) and prevent cracking.
I know they are not cheap and I don't use them at any pair cheaper than 100-150e, but for the rest of my collection it's a pre.
Be careful with sizing. I'd advise to go to your cobbler with your boots in hand, he can advice further.

Huh! But how's that crease any different than any crease on a sleeve of a leather jacket? The front of a boot is hardened so the crease has to appear there, but I'm not sure I see why it'd start cracking there? That'd amount to another pair of good boots for me, getting into quality shoe trees as I have too many boots. . .

Wesco makes a beautiful boot.

Yeah man I wasn’t expecting it but they get a lot of complements when I’m out and about.

Still trying to get them to be comfortable for my slightly larger right foot. Most days they’re fine but sometimes the pressure against the top of my arch is terrible. I think maybe the socks get a wrinkle or something and boom here comes the pain train.

Kyle at Baker Shoe said to give em 100 hours of real wear before trying anything else so just been walking in them when I can

While shoe tree doesn't make creases go away, they (wood) do soak up the moisture left in the shoes/boots. Stuffing paper in them is more or less the same thing. That's how I do it when I am on the road.
The pointy toe last are prone to more creases because of their shape. Unless you have pointy shaped foot. Most European military officers wore very pointy last shaped boots back in the wars.

Stuffing the boots that I won't wear that day with paper is something I have been doing as a matter of fact but now I'm reading it's a travesty as well. I was using the same paper that came in the boot, figured it can't do no harm.

To be honest, I not only not mind but actually much prefer the creases & toe spring, the entire worn in look of boots so that's really no problem for me - but - I certainly don't want the leather to start cracking so if shoe trees actually prevent that. . .

But then again, I never had this happen on any of the boots I've owned so far and up until very recently, I never took care of my footwear. Now I'm brushing the shoes I wore every other day, I think.

The non shoe tree one looks bad. Small difference everyday adds up after six months.

If you own many pairs and you keep them in rotation then I don't think they'd crack, even without shoetrees. Just follow some simple rules: avoid wearing the same pair two days in a row, brush them often and avoid them getting really dry (then they are prone to cracking): don't store them in extremely dry or hot places and use some quality waxes, cremes, etc every 10-20 wears. I recommend the Saphir D'Or products, if you need any specific advice on them let me know.

Thanks, it must have been so hot wearing leather under stage lights. It reminds me of an interview I read about with Joey Ramone where Joey, in the full heat of a New York summer, still kept his Schott on.

Those look awesome. I don’t think that style is available in the American market. That is a head scratcher to me. I can see not shipping every model a road, but why would you not make everything available in the country in which it is produced.

I would have thought that just doesn't exist because maybe it's a discontinued model? Even in Europe, there are only individual sizes. At Red Wing Vienna they said that these boots are not produced at the moment.
But true, you can't find too much information about these boots.
