Amin declared that he had defeated the British and added "CBE" to his title for "Conqueror of the British Empire"
He also awarded himself the Victoria Cross, the highest bravery award in the Armed Forces. The V.C.'s inscription reads: "For Valour." Amin's medal has the inscription: "For Supreme Valour." There you go, the bravest man in all the world.

It's worth noting that even Idi Amin realised there was a limit to the respect one can garner for being Lord of the Fish, and he went on to found a local university to make him a doctor, (of law of course.) It's likely Idi Amin collected these odd titles to reinforce his image as one of a buffoon, thus distracting the world from the killing of his own people.

About 2/3 of the Reichssicherheitshauptamt‘s ~400 heads strong leading staff have been university graduates, vast mass of them were jurists, about 22% studied liberal arts.
1/3 of those ~400 heads were doctors, some in more than one discipline.

And Hitler was a corporal.

Depends on perspective, I guess.

Bending down far enough, even a hunchbacked inbreed from Austrian outback or a clubfooted gnome from Lower Rhine might appear to be large and great to some…

Just like some blue blooded aristocratic tribes, who are happy being able to walk 10m straight ahead or to autonomously close their fly…:D

We, like most people, have long assumed that when calling a service/help number that we'll get the help or information we need. After all, it's their job to provide accurate customer service. Well. not always.

Last Thursday evening, our home security panel started alarming and flashing the low battery light. So we called it in to find out how to stop the incessant beeping and to find out what we needed for a battery. And we were successful where that was concerned. A couple of trips later (frantic to get there before closing time) to Home Depot (Couldn't get to Lowes in time), and Best Buy proved that no, you cannot buy the prescribed battery at those places. So we ordered from Amazon and decided to see how long the low battery would last. Well, the whoop-di-do battery, promised next year (delivery Jan 3-7) came today. I put it in quickly and fairly efficiently (thank you YouTube!) and low and behold it didn't fix anything. So we called it in and the girl asks "how did you know it was that battery?". Well the guy we spoke to last week said it was. Long story short, a week later and a $50 battery we didn't need, it was the batteries in the "siren" (which we didn't know we had) upstairs. 4 AA batteries. Heavy sigh... A small thing perhaps, but still, you depend on people who know better to give you correct information.

I'll spare you my other battery problem while waiting at the cellphone lot at the airport to pick up my sister Christmas eve - that one involves the guy parking next to me chain smoking, pacing and peeing between the cars. That battery cost $350. But I did need that one.

How much would you attribute Weimar to Hitler's ascendance? And Junker acquiescence?
And, of course, German academic/culture lead within Europe? Such contradiction against proletariat subservience.

Six, sit down. As we would say in German.
:D
I‘m sure you know much better than this poor attempt wants to appear.
If not, just make your homework and come back in a year or two.
