I am not quite sure what is going on with this "Vintage Wide Brim Bandolero Fedora." I am just sure why anyone needs a piece of glass, a hunk of wood, a used cartridge with a piece of tin foil in it, and a stick you their hat for, but... View attachment 378193
Swap that nonsense with duck tape, chewing gum and a Swiss Army knife and you have a perfect life saving hat! Ala MacGiver.

I'd like to reflect on a previous post of mine from May 25, 2014 (https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/pyramid-hat-man.77797/). It went unanswered and uncommented on... nonetheless, seems appropriate for this thread.

There's always a story...
"According to the caption his unusual headgear is called a 'Raydome’, “a 9-inch steel based headgear pyramid that is orgone plated, applying layers of 24 Karat gold and silver according to the Pyradyne website that sells them. (https://www.pyradyne.com)

Wearing a Raydome supposedly "creates a natural field of negative ions, increases concentration, promotes greater attention span, boosts memory, detoxifies body and decreases appetite." all per Dominic K. pictured.

It is a question that has baffled shoppers and cheered up many a weary commute on the London Underground - why is that man wearing a pyramid hat on his head? The eccentric fellow was most recently photographed on what appears to be the Bakerloo Underground line. The otherwise smartly dressed middle-aged man is shown leaning casually against the window with the contraption - made up of what looks to be bent coat hangers, perched on his locks.

According to the caption his unusual headgear is called a 'Raydome’, “a 9-inch steel based headgear pyramid that is orgone plated, applying layers of 24 Karat gold and silver according to the Pyradyne website that sells them. Wearing a Raydome supposedly "creates a natural field of negative ions, increases concentration, promotes greater attention span, boosts memory, detoxifies body and decreases appetite." According to one pseudo-scientific theory, pyramids have been used to sharpen razor blades and keep cheese and fruit fresh. The sighting prompted many other people to contribute their own. (Not exactly printable here.)

That one needs the faux reindeer antlers sewn onto each side.

That falls into the Oh Deer kind of retort.

An American couple were being shown around Moscow by their communist guide, Rudolf, when the man felt a drop hit his nose. “I think it’s raining,” he said to his wife. “No, that felt more like snow to me,” she replied. “No, I’m sure it was just rain,” he said. Well, as these things go, they were about to have a major argument about whether it was raining or snowing.

“Let’s not fight about it!” the man said. “Let’s ask our guide, Rudolf, whether it’s officially raining or snowing.” As their tour guide approached, the man said, “Tell us, Comrade Rudolf, is it officially raining or snowing?“ “It’s raining, of course,” he replied officiously. But the woman insisted, “I know that it felt like snow!” The husband quietly whispers to his wife: “Rudolph, the Red, knows rain, dear!“
