Back in Wrangler 13MWZs again today, working from home. This pair are now two and a half years old, and have worn extremely well, aside from having to patch a small point of wear between the upper thighs last Christmas. This model is now on my shopping list to pick up a handful of pairs when I next make it to the US. Someday, hopefully with a stronger pound again, I'll get back over there with an empty case and a chunk of cash to pick up a bunch of stuff that's harder to find over here!

What Denim Shirt (are you wearing)

Many years since I had a Levi shirt and I feel the need to Texas Tuxedo.

Which do you favour (and why) from the base brands (Levi / Lee / Wrangler)?

I do love those Wrangler. Got a pair in the OG blue, gray and black.

My bad. Thought you were talking about the jeans. I haven’t read every post. I’ll fade to black now.

Really my bad, I tangented the thread to shirts. You probably answered my question.
If you go wrangler for jeans then the shirts likely follow.

May your cuffs always roll even.

Good Christmas to you.

How often you guys washing your jeans? I don't think I can hang with 50 wears before washing. I get you shouldn't be washing them every wear either. I was thinking maybe 15-20ish? I know I might be sacrificing some high contrast fades, but I can't hang with the funk.

Morning,

I tend towards a month approx. between hand washes.
They get hung on a door hook at night so plenty of air circulation.

I think just go as often as you feel ((if they start to hum you might have left it a bit too....) unless you are going for 'originals')

While on the thread.

I have bought a few Wrangler work shirts recently.

Tough, easy cut (need a bit of wearing in like a jacket) suit my home desk job or working on the build.

When they need it.
This^^
I quickly moved past the worries about killer fades and decided that wearing clean clothes was more important. I rotate through my jeans and usually I will wear a pair a dozen or so times before I wash them. If I spill salsa or coffee on them then I wash them even sooner.

Month up to two during winter and that's tops. I don't wash them a whole lot but not very often, either.

When they need it.

This! Totally dependend on the circumstances of use. I am in suit and tie on a worksday, so if I just put the jeans on for a quick drink in the evening, I won´t wash them too soon. Different when I spend a whole weekend shopping, hiking, driving, sitting etc. in them.

Rule of thumb: They must not smell, have stains (other than the odd splash of mud on the legs which I simply brush off) or start to get that weird texture like stale crisps.

Yeah, makes sense. Obviously, lots of factors. Most of my wears are sitting around the house, temperature controlled, no humidity, no grimy situations. Other than picking up pet hair from 4 different furry critters, they aren't being subjected to harsh situations.

When I got my Bravestars, I knew right off the bat I wasn't going to go to 50 wears. Sounded crazy. Sure you get the fades, but then it looks like you start blowing out crotches and all that. I'm starting to think a lot of stuff is just for taking pictures of and not actual use LOL. Anyway, after about 10-15 wears, I gave a quick soak and swirl in the bathtub and the world didn't come to an end. So I think I'm good.

Washing machine 30 degrees inside out on low spin setting after 5/6 wears or when they lose their shape.

Hand washing blue jeans is totally unnecessary in my experience, it’s cotton not cashmere…
