That last one was the Prairie Creek Redwoods, near the Visitor Center at Elk Prairie Campground.

It was a VERY big stick.

I thought I recognized it. I went to college 40 miles south in Arcata and then used to work 35 miles north in Crescent City. I love that part of the world and I’ve missed it most every day since I left. The fishing was fantastic too.

We typically have an Indian summer, but this is getting ridiculous! Downtown SF has been over 90° for the month of October so far. Wrapped up early, so headed to beach. My trusty straw OR is getting some more days in this year (blackthorn walking stick for the trail/steps up and down)

A new brewpub has since taken over & the Pullman car & the caboose have been painted back original. The Pullman car on the other side of the depot is being restored into a members lounge.

With the new addition of the wolfbrae nutria (far left) all of the sticks are now full.

I am an everyday hat wearer but not a hat collector, so this is the extent of my felt and straw collection.
