I want to thank Paul @MemphisBlues for willing to sell this beautiful leather jacket to me.
i once owned a centinela deerskin 44 before but I sold it and regret my decision for all the time. I feel so lucky for myself to have one again.

I am 180cm height, 82kg weight, 104cm chest and 50cm shoulder
i did Try on freewheelers centinela horsehide size 42 and 44 before, you could check my previous posts.

As this year Freewheelers only offers centinela horsehide for sell, I would like to share some thoughts. Bear in mind that centinela has a very sharp cutting, tight on chest, very tight on belly and loose for the shoulder, like a V shape. Think twice before you place the order. It is very common place that one size fit your chest and shoulder, you do look good on photos, but you suffers when wearing it. One size up would fit extremely comfortable but look bad on photos. Therefore, you could try why I did. Buy three centinela, horsehide for 1 size smaller, 1 size larger and a deerskin centinela 1 size larger. Because deerskin is thicker but much softer, therefore size 44 deerskin is like between 42 and 44 of horsehide, which is like size 43. That fits me perfectly. You could always try 4 centinela, could be 5 or 6 different sizes, or ask Freewheelers to make one tailor to your body ( i did that too, they won't give a **** because you are not Jason momoa)

Therefore no more *******tting, the humblest suggestion is buy a Mulholland first, and based on your outfit on Mulholland, you could decide you should go up or down 1 size for centinela.

again, thank you Paul, for the jacket

That looks good. I believe the only problem we actually have in this hobby is not being able to try on the jackers before deciding.

Ordering through numbers is never perfect and they don’t tell everything.

I wish it eas as easy as being able to walk in a store, try them on and purchase.
Indeed, and most of the time we purchase online from the dealer, they accept no return and refund, and the size measurements from the dealers differ a lot, that basically helps nothing.

Agreed.

As much as possible I ask for cloth tape measurements of the jacket to add clarity. It doesn’t always happen, but I’ve found most retailers and sellers here to be pretty helpful.

Edit: awesome jacket by the way!

@puiyc1203 Undoubtedly a very nice jacket with a good fit. How does the jacket feel when it is worn open? There are only a few pictures available on the web showing the jacket worn open. Most are pictures of zipped jackets. I think there is a reason for that: Originally it was a motorcycle jacket with a massive overlap on the front panels, which make sense by riding a motorbike. I haven't tried on a centiela myself, but I had a himel with an equally massiv overlap at the front. For me it was one of the reasons to sell the jacket. It was nice to wear the jacket when it is closed but when open I felt like wearing a poncho or had a tent in front of me, simply to much material in Front.

As asked at the beginning: How is your feeling, wearing this type of Jacket open? Do you have fit pictures worn open...

I don’t think these jackets are meant to be worn open nor do they look good open. They had a purpose, riding motorcycles so wearing it open isn’t an option.

It’s like double breasted blazers, you can wear them open but they don’t look as good as closed.

Agree 100%. These jackets were made to be worn fully zipped.

While a double breasted blazer could be worn open, it wasn't designed that way, and it looks awful when not buttoned. Same with this jacket.

@puiyc1203 do you prefer the deerskin or horsehide version?
I personally prefer deerskin, because its softer and more comfortable, and deerskin as its little bit thicker its around half size smaller than that of horsehide, so i choose 44 for deerskin, as 42 and 44 horsehide are either too small or too large for me.

And i have many horsehide jacket already, so i really like this deerskin

Thanks! I have the horsehide version, considering going after the deerskin as well. Do you still have both?

I sold my horsehide already, its too tight for me. Indeed it looks better and sharper wearing horsehide ver, but i have experienced that already. I choose the comfortable one for myself. It was like between hot and crazy girl or helpful virtuous wife, i chose the former as girlfriend but latter for life-long marriage.

Thanks for comparison and metaphor lol. The deerskin does look like it drapes well in the pictures I’ve seen. I think if I find a deerskin version in my size at a good price I’ll go for it.
