Anyone seen this type of crown iron before or know anything about the company? It looks like it says "Rhodes National Hatters Seattle" but I can't find any info. I like the simplicity of the design.

Currently on Ebay, so not mine (and at the price it never will be). Never seen anything like this before, so for posterity.

Described as: Antique Circa 1910 Heavy Brass Steamer Derby Hat Block Mold.
I somehow doubt it is though, because of the downward slope of the brim and the grooves in the crown. My guess would be a mould to use for the manufacture of pith helmets maybe?

Neat piece of decor or a conversation piece, but the price is too steep for me too. Pith helmet looks right to me too.

My friend Jonathan @TheOldFashioned found this flange locally. It had been converted to a mirror (not uncommon) and he graciously asked if I wanted it. This is a super rare find and saved me almost $200 compared to buying it new. It’s great to have such friends.

In great shape to boot!! Lots of new block makers out there these days at decent prices but not many new flange makers.
