@Fifty150

My apologizes. I realize now how that sounds & it wasn’t intended that way. You might try a combination of colors a little less contrasting, more tone on tone is what I should have said. Or more complimentary colors (better yet).

Col Littleton’s No. 3 American Buffalo leather suspenders. Full grain American Buffalo in Tobacco Brown with calfskin lining. Infinitely adjustable for fit with Y-back design. Interchangeable design with matching leather mustaches or solid brass hardware to dress up or dress down. These get worn more than any pair of suspenders I own.

Suspenders handwoven at La Matera on an Argentine ranch, interchangeable mustache leathers or trigger snaps, reversible pattern. Fully adjustable.

Love the reversable pattern. Ive thought of making up a reversable leather set for ages... just havent got around to it. Tooled leather on one side, smooth on the other. Ive always loved leather suspenders... they just look more "finished" when you take a jacket off. I do wear several sets of elastic suspenders in warmer weather under a shirt, but I have converted them all to better clasps.... theres not one pair of clip on ends anywhere in my closet any more. No more pinching or popping loose at inopportune moments. Ive got a big bag of suspender buttons ready to add to the pant waistbands, but fabricating new ends for the suspenders just hasnt been done yet.... awfully handy to just clip to the belt loops.

No alligator clips for me either. Always thought clips were for women’s jumpers & their other lightweight stuff, not for men’s clothing.

i’ve been watching for braided horsehair & rough out finished suspenders. The few horsehair that show up are just strips off a roll sewn on the face of the leather & not braided.

Ive had a roll of two "BRAIDED HORSEHAIR" that I got from Tandy on clearance for several years..... that stuff is dang near 3/8" thick, a bit over 2" wide, and really stiff. ( looks ok but I seriously doubt its actually horsehair) Barely fits through jeans loops . Ive used it for bag handles, but its too thick for belts or suspenders.

I made ONE belt and the soon lost 50 lbs... never got around to shortening it so its hardly been worn lol... One more of those projects that Ill get around to SOMEDAY
