My experience is that "respect" in forums is long-term earned, and seldom based on occasional brilliant posts, no matter how original.

As a previous supporter against what I saw as unwonted personal attacks against you, I remain firm in that previous position. What's Good for one is Good for all.

Your subsequent (jchance) comments are so stated, and deliberately accusatory/attacking that I have some reservations to your Internet "Manners". I will support any poster, regardless of duration on this forum, who politely makes/defends comments, supported by objective facts.

The happenings in FL aren't worth this much effort. If FL is a tribe, you're further alienating yourself by now creating a separate thread and calling people out. @raf and I attempted to smooth things over for all parties so we could all carry on. Just block the ones you'd like to avoid and enjoy the rest of the site.

I'm stressed out just reading the interactions on this thread.

I am always polite and civil in my responses, but I don't require your approval for my posts/comments. Your comments seem to be FAR too arrogant for my taste.

I am the red dot having seen hundreds of jackets, boots, leather samples, read a lot. But also realizing I don't understand what fundamental parts of the hide structure or tanning/chemical processes actually create the visual differences we see.
