I won an auction last month for 5 various Borsalino hats (for a price less the the retail cost of any one of them). My sister-in-law brought the hats to me today from South Florida and I have them in some condition to share. The fifth hat is a woman's hat in white bring cleaned.

First up. A Lupo color Mascotte, dating from 68-75 with an 8cm brim. The oldest of the lot.

This one is stunning!
Hopefully it's your size because it's going to look great on you.

Very nice, Jeff. These labels show up from 1972 until 1976.
The others all seem to be from the 1984 to 1993 period.

Thank you. I think I found the dating from your original posting in this thread from years ago on dating the cuts of the labels. Those dates may have been slightly revised in a future post that I had not saved.

They have been revised a bit, but not much; just for the more modern ones. I posted a version of the Borsalino data on page 500 of this thread (easy to remember). That doesn't have the revision added in though.

Borsalino homburg Gulaela, color Amiata. Very fine hat, but this one runs 1 size smaller, so not for my head. It's more like size 57.

This is it. Previously unseen, Fantesan 39 black Echter Borsalino, from the city of Albert Einstein's birth (Ulm, just an interesting fact I threw in). This 7 cm bound brim from the early 1950's is the hat with the look every non-chassic, fedora wearing, Jewish man is trying to get (even with new Borsalinos). The box it came in, pictured below, was beaten to heck (censor THAT!), but the hat has seemingly never been worn. It absolutely will be this weekend.

Jeff, Super find and a "Fantesan" first! Great form and I really like the Brim treatment. It will look great "Brim Up" too. Ulm was also the home of Mayser. :)

Ok, so after checking with @steur's listings on page 500 here, I think I have found something unseen though the hat does look similar to others that have been posted here in the past.

This is likely from the 1940's (36-52, based on the label), but on the actual label, only Bronzo is recognized, Idorsti is not found anywhere. Originally sold in Great Britain, it is far softer than any homburg I have ever handled, even softer than most fedoras. I have left it uncreased for the time being.
