Absolutely! I love horsehide, but once in a while, I try something else and remind myself that other mothers raise beautiful daughters as well.

Steerhide is a more recent discovery of mine, since I got that great Y2/The Shop trucker jacket.
It doesn’t have that signature “forming” to the body, but it does have a nice heft and drapes very nicely from the get go.
As I said in the other thread, had the 618HH not worked out for whatever reason, I’d probably have left with a Steerhide Perfecto.
It's hilarious I was trying to think of the guy in Toronto or Vancouver I couldn't remember the name of his store because I love his videos on both horsehide as well as steer hide and all sorts of things meanwhile I reread your post and you mentioned the store LOL

It’s size 42 vs my size 40 chest. Feels just right with a Patagonia R4 fleece under. Sleeves are tad long but think justifiable for keeping hands warm in winter

What do you guys think of the fit?

Looks good, IMO. I always find a bit of room to move/layer good, for as long as your are not in a Punkrock Band.

Only thing is that I may find it half an inch long in the front. A bit hard to tell, as it could just be the fleece jumper showing at the hem.

Thanks @Tom71 - yes it’s long on front and back too - maybe just the pattern - which is why I bought this for winter layering.

I may copy you and wear this over a shirt and tie /sweater for work one day :)

Jacket length is an art of its own. It seems to be as much about visual effect as about inches and centimetres.

Bike jackets have this functional approach of course. Short enough to be able to sit on a bike without pushing the jacket into your throat. But then there are different riding positions (hence the elongated J-100 styles for the crouching position of the British ”Ton-Up”’s.

I don’t pretend that the Perfecto is a good match with my office attire. But I am willing to compromise when it comes to honeymooning with the new one. ;)

A cool model we don’t see too often. The fit is definitely acceptable. I’d like to see it unzipped and zipped with the lapels snapped down.
