Hello,

Is the color that much different or just color ?

The jacket never made it to me so I don't know for sure. They did have several similar models to the one I chose that were in that brown pull-up color way which I was not looking for. Hence my excitement that the one I chose was actually available. I guess the point of this thread now is you may want to ask for photos of the actual jacket you are going to receive prior to it being shipped so as to "sign off" on what you can expect when it shows up.

As a follow up note, I received a note from PP that they sided with me and the refund was supposed to come in a few days. Dylan however, has not replied to me. Guess I understand that but it's a shame he is this way.

Oh man. I'm so sorry. That's the exact jacket I've been lusting after although it's been sold out in (what I take to be) my size since forever, including on (er, what I take to be) the actual Veluokldly Taobao shop. While as someone said above that still looks like a nice jacket, that colour shift and indeed your whole experience is quite shocking. I hope it does end up all resolving itself okay.

Would you share to us the additional handle fee and shipping cost of the jacket to US on top of the listed price ($300) of jacket on Super buy ?
I was told it is another 10% fee and around $65 for shipping .
And how long does it take from order time to receiving the jacket ?
Any additional tariff before jacket was delivered to you ?

Yes That’s about right. I also bought some other stuff that got shipped so can’t give you an exact number. No tariffs.

Hi all,

I’m about to purchase this Jiashi A-2 model in horsehide:

I’ll likely order it via Taobao so I can get the clean version without patches, but I’m hesitating on sizing. For reference:

• I own a Real McCoy’s A-2 in size 40
• Body measurements (over a light shirt):
  • Chest: 98.5 cm
  • Belly: 91.5 cm

I’ve measured my RMC and compared it to the published measurements for this jacket. Based on that, size L seems to match both my RMC 40 and my body measurements. However, when I contacted Tailor Brando directly, they recommended I go for XL.

Before pulling the trigger, I wanted to ask: Does anyone here have hands-on experience with Jiashi A-2s and their sizing? Based on my measurements, should I stick to L or go for XL?

Any insight would be much appreciated

Hi FL, does anyone here have experience with Real Simmon on Taobao? How do they compare to Jiashi? Since the price difference between many of their offerings and Jiashi is double the price

I don't have experience, but from what I have been told by a Reddit user who's familiar with Chinese brands: "Veluokldly < Jiashi ≈ Simons, with Simons being more transparent on leather/hardware used"

Here my new (12 days of wear) repro J24L by Real Simons (high quality china) in unfinished veg tan horsehide, the patina is fast, I love it. Unbelievable quality for this price....

I'm shocked about the quality, and construction, I also bought a grizzly from real simons, really good too, I have loads of jacket, including a grizzly mccoy, the chinese one is honestly 80% the quality (leather quality, hardware, finish, stitching) and for 15% of the mccoy price (retail at 4K usd)

Honestly, I have around 50 jackets, from all brands, maybe 10 horsehide ones, from schott, aero, mccoy, and vintage 1930's and it's a bit sad because it's like eletric cars, the Chinese industry is so in advance now (with craftsmanship and quality) compared to japan, europe and usa, for such a ridiculous price... I have seen Y2 leather unfinished leather motorcycle jacket, and let me tell you: quality is the same for 3 times the price....

What do you think?
