What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Yesterday was a glorious three jacket day, thanks to some cooler weather. Vanson in the morning.

Double Helix in the late afternoon.

And Lewis Leathers in the evening. A good day if I do say so myself.

Sorry for the really bad quality of the photos... it's a G1-jacket from The Leather Shop(Sears) and has saved me from freezing my *** off to many times this winter!

I finally found out what a halfbelt with Aero measurements would actually be like.

This is a new-to-me Johnson Leathers. Tagged size: 36.
Seller's claim on chest size: 38.
Actual PTP measurement: 22.5.

Still, I'm considering keeping it to run flatbeds starting next month. The medium weight naked cowhide offers great protection but drapes like fabric; the roomy chest gives me almost a full range of arm movement with lots of room for layering; and it only cost me $100 so if I beat it to hell no big loss.

I think it will do until I save enough for a LW trucker. It definitely has an old-school vibe like from a 1940s film.

Beware of Friday the 13th, friends. I might have to do a Jason marathon tonight.

Thanks. This fit reminds me of my grungeful youth when oversized leather jackets were the fad. Apparently that look is back in vogue?

Thanks Jon. The jacket was unworn before today, so I'm amazed at how much it has creased and grained up in a short amount of time.

Absolutely! It's made from a lighter weight 3 oz Venetian cowhide, which has been very easy wearing.
