New to me Schott 740C. I was looking for the 740N and found about the 740C, which seems to be the same coat but with a slimmer fit and a red satin liner instead of quilted along leather trims on the shoulder, sleeves and pockets. As I've moved to a warmer climate, on top of preferring slimmer fits, I went for the 740C.

I found this one used, US made, for a good price. The sleeves had been shortened so I took a gamble hoping they hadn't been cut off and instead just hidden inside the sleeves, which paid off. Very happy with my purchase.

I had also considered the leather version, but I discarded the thought as I think I wouldn't really wear it much.

To anyone interested in any 740 variance, there's a lot of them available in the used market, even in the EU market (both eBay and Vinted) for quite cheap. For some reason, of course the ones my size (44) seem to be a higher price than basically any other size. Even size 46 was quite cheap despite it being somewhat uncommon. Meanwhile, 38, 40 and 42 were basically flooding the market.

Just bear in mind there's also a lot of the China/Pakistan made versions around.

Very cool! Is it a custom? The color looks fantastic.
I picked this up on the secondhand market in Japan. Pretty sure this is Vanson's old comp weight in British Racing Green. Could be Castrol Green, I guess, but I think it's BRG. They've changed leather suppliers over the years, so I'm not sure what colors you can custom order for their newer comp weight.

That green is spectacular. Inspired my new search on eBay.
Thanks @JMax for the praise! It's my goal to be like @ton312 and have the more sketchy Pakistani and/or Chinese companies rip off my fit pic to pass off as their own product. Then I'll know I've reached peak influencer status.

Wrangler heavy(ish) denim today for our midweek motorcycle jaunt.
32C on the way home at 11am with noticeable humidity from the seabreeze.
that's just "too hot" for leather in Australia.
This was a lucky "op-shop" AKA thrift shop find by my at the time teenage daughter. (Now near 24 !).
I have had it as a reserve hot day riding jacket since then.
plenty of deep pocketing and fairly tight sleeves.
Almost 100% that I have posted this jacket before over the years.

Since I bought my first Y’2 leather jacket last fall, I was lucky enought to find two other Y'2 jackets in my size on the second hand market. I just received this one on eBay. It’s the same size as my other Y’2 jackets but fits a bit tighter. But since Valentine's Day dinner with my wife, I've lost 15 pounds and now this jacket fits perfectly. I would say this Kakishibu Single Riders Jacket is my grail jacket.
