This pic could have been taken during the 1940's but in actual fact is only 2 weeks ago.
I am sitting in my 1940 Fleet Finch 16R wearing my ELC A2 and my vintage helmet and goggles
My buddy took the shot when I was not looking , then played around with his photoshop a bit.
The early style tinted pic brings out just how worn my A2 is

Would you be able to post a photo of you in flying gear standing next to your marvelous flying machine so we can appreciate the full aircraft? It would be much appreciated.

As requested here are some new pics of my ELC A2.
I have close to 1000 flight hours on it now and it shows,
The last pic is of me and my 1940 Fleet Finch 16R. A WW2 trainer that flew with the RCAF. This is the same type my Dad instructed on during the war, so that make me a 2nd generation Fleet Finch pilot

Superb vintage photo...

Seeing your state-of art ELC A-2 and your marvelous 1940's aeroplane, I gather that you are an example for us all.

Great pics! I am happy to see an A-2 not being treated gently and slathered with all kinds of oily, gooey preservatives and conditioners. The best way to wear in a leather jacket is the wear it everywhere, doing everything, never mind the weather. Looks like strapping an airplane onto one's back may be the best way of all to truly do an A-2 justice! :)

Get photos Fleet and wonderful to see a flying jacket being used for what it was made - FLYING ;)

And like Thor says great to see you haven't molly-coddled it, looks all the better for having not been!
