Great article!! I learned about Blackwing 602 pencils a couple years ago. I was fascinated. I ended up purchasing a box of the newer 602's for an architect customer. She absolutely loved them!

I wear boaters pretty frequently. The biggest thing for any old hat is taking care of the sweatband. The salt from your sweat will dry the leather over time. Keep it clean and moisturized with something like Lexol. If you maintain a hat properly it will last you a lifetime. Even straw hats. I...
