My latest one I used petersham ribbon because you can iron a curve in so it doesn't need tacking. I'd love it if someone can share a ribbon video

I made my own block out of styrofoam works great I have a 61 cm head.. I also used gap filler in an old hat

Thank you i didn't know that ill do that in future. its just i'm new. I have an amazing olive felt hat that i have blocked and i want to do something different and have a material band to make it more funky and casual

in your opinion, apart from grosgrain or Petersham. what is the best material to make a cloth hatband?

It's my second post I have been making my own hats to.a degree of success . Amateur... here's a few questions... 1 is it worth sanding wool felt? If so what's the best way to get a smooth result. I sanded mine and was worried I was going to go through, it was smoother but still not perfect...

This is my first post, please be gentle. I have just started making hats. I have learnt from you tube and from error mainly with felt. i am currently experimenting with synthetic straw (summers approaching). I have blocked a patterned synthetic straw hat to make into a going out for a drink...
