    Tuxedo Rental

I would definitely recommend a wing collar if you're wearing a white waistcoat. I don't like the look of a wing collar with either a black waistcoat or a cummerbund, but it's the only one that looks right with a white waistcoat to me.

    Black Tie optional events...

Assuming it's not too expensive, I'd definitely go with the notch DJ. The notch lapel, while worse than the peak or shawl, is still acceptable...it's things like 3 buttons, neon four in hand ties, etc, that cause the real problems.

How hard is it to find a nice DB suit these days???

The 6x1 was big in the late 80s/early 90s, so there are a lot of them floating around thrift stores now. Depending on how it's cut you may be able to just take the top two buttons off and have a 4x1 which would look more vintage.

    Cotton Pinstripe suit??

    Black Tie Waistcoat Material

I've just recently gotten into buying suits and tuxedos and what not, and I don't have a whole lot of money to devote to it, so I've been looking around on everybody's favorite auction site, and I recently bought a couple tuxedo jackets, and I've been looking for a black waistcoat to go with...
