Thanks everyone. I am now decided on an Akubra. I just have to decide which one. Unfortunately there is nowhere around here I can go and see them in person.
I had ruled out akubra due to some folks on here saying that they don't stand up to being wet as well as hoped. However if this is not the case I would gladly spend my money on an akubra.
Hi all,
Can someone recommend a brimmed hat that can actually be used in inclement conditions? I want something to keep me in the shade when its sunny and dry when its raining that will stand up to some proper use. I need it for fishing, walking and canoeing.
Although I do use a gas mask...
Figure hugging it is then. They have options for regular, slim and ultra slim. I think I will just go for the slim option.
I would really like a vintage hat, but unfortunately I may not be able to find one as I don't have a lot of time. Its only 7 weeks until the wedding!
What do you think about the slim fit? Should I think about changing it to regular? I get the impression suits of the day were looser rather than figure hugging.
Hi all. I'm trying to put together a suit for my wedding. Its a fairly casual wedding so it deosnt need to be a 'wedding' suit, just something thats smart and good looking. I've been looking around and I don't really like any of the modern styles, but I've always like the older 'golden era'...
Thanks Bill. I've been playing around with www.asuitthatfits.com and I've put together the suit below, which I quite like, although I may look at a pinstripe instead of plain fabric.
Started new thread with details.
I'm getting married in September, the wedding wont be a traditional church wedding but more of a relaxed civil ceremony. So traditional wedding outfits won't be worn.
I own a couple of modern 3 piece suits, but I've never been that keen on either of them. I've been looking around for ages...
