We watched Elf recently. I love it too. I especially love how they pay homage to the Rankin and Bass Christmas shows, such as the way they have the elves dressed and the appearance of Santa's workshop.

In that case, you might want to get back there soon. The Penney's Towncraft is my favorite of the four, and I like all four very much.

Can we show bow ties here? I'm going to give it a go. Here are two recent finds, each one only cost a few dollars. The pattern on this first one reminds me of poinsettias. Material feels like silk. Is this one from the 70's? I ask because of the larger size. It's all wool and was itchy...

^^^ I’ve noticed that most people give approving looks when I wear a bow tie. I’ve only noticed a couple of “questionable” looks and in each case they appeared to be high school aged girls, just an observation.

The Eagles Nest in Indianapolis is nice. The food is great but other (comparable) places in town aren't as expensive. I've not been there since the summer but they have just remodeled.

I bought a pair of flannel trousers from them a couple of years ago and ordered the wrong size. Peterman paid the shipping charge and all that I had to do was send them back and wait a couple of days. In fact, I’m wearing them today. Sorry Rue, no pictures ;)
