Just seen The Outlaw Josey Wales last weekend and I took one of my American Hat Co. hats and give it a cavalry cord making it a Josey Wales/Jonah Hex inspired hat. It'll take me a year to lose soem weight to get into that Josey Wales jacket I ordered years back.

Actually, I tried brim binding once. It wasn't easy but even though it wasn't particularly good, it was not particularly bad either.

Interesting crown crease. I can see that as an Old West hat with a plain leather hatband or a concho decorated hatband worn upon the head of an Old West film character from the 1970s.

Three films featuring this style hat in the last three pics that come to mind; My Darling Clemetine, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and Open Range.

Interesting Western hat. The last one with you in costume reminds me of various TV cowboys, You, Sir, are a merge of Ben Cartwright, Big John Cannon and others.
