Ah, yes - thanks for pointing that out! I first heard his voice as Friar Tuck in Disney's Robin Hood. Years later, I learned more of his career same as other veteran Western actors.
It's been a long time since I last posted here. Here's a gambler type hat I made years back and it's reminiscent to the ones you would have seen on HBO's Deadwood or BBC's Ripper Street.
This hat used to have a telescopic crown but has been changed to a sort of Hoppy/Gus Crease, I had a hint...
Just seen The Outlaw Josey Wales last weekend and I took one of my American Hat Co. hats and give it a cavalry cord making it a Josey Wales/Jonah Hex inspired hat. It'll take me a year to lose soem weight to get into that Josey Wales jacket I ordered years back.
Interesting crown crease. I can see that as an Old West hat with a plain leather hatband or a concho decorated hatband worn upon the head of an Old West film character from the 1970s.
They also make that same hat on The Last Best West and it's just as nice.

It's been a long time but here are some photos to share.
My mother actually took the first one of me on the day my new hat from The Last Best West came. I am currently expecting a new one sometime in May (hopefully before my 33rd birthday)! And no, the rest is not in rhyme, that was by...
Just a new hatband for a hat I made:
Made from a ladies' belt and with holes punched out for the diamond stud conchos in place; this style is supposed to scream 'Spaghetti Western'. What do y'all think?
Interesting Western hat. The last one with you in costume reminds me of various TV cowboys, You, Sir, are a merge of Ben Cartwright, Big John Cannon and others.
