I had a similar sounding problem with a Talon zip on an Aero Hercules. I thought a replacement was required but a new slider fixed it. Aero sent me one out and I installed myself with little difficulty. The gap setting, mentioned above, must have been off.

Just wanted to update that the ever helpful Christine and Denny @ Aero sorted the zipper problem. A couple of pictures and Denny diagnosed a new puller. Arrived in the post and now installed and working. I was surprised how easy it was to fit the new puller. Lovely job

Yes, definitely deserves it's own thread rather than buried here. I would not have thought of buying one of these, but seeing it being worn...deeply cool man.

Dear Loungerians I have managed to mangle the Talon zip on an Aero LHB. I have mailed Denny about the cost of repair. Any tips on what might be a upgrade to Talon. I would prefer to be period appropriate but does not need to be NOS or anything. Thank you in advance

I think it is out to around 6 months now. I have found Ciano more than helpful but response times to emails can be slow. You could give him a call to confirm. He always recommends 'phoning rather than email. There are some denim forums that have a gallery of his work.
