I found this article in the May, 1939 issue of Radio Mirror magazine. I thought it would be of interest to the members here.

I made my living for twenty years as a drummer. Played with The Fendermen, The Crystals and several other groups.

One of my favourite channels is 40's on 4, and I think the "megaphone guy" who does the stings is cool. I still haven't got a gangster nickname.

I won't miss tattoos and piercing, or that silly fad of wearing baseball caps backwards.

Last night I watched Rear Window. What a great movie! And wasn't Grace Kelly gorgeous!!

The first plane that I flew in as a kid was a Norseman on floats. It wasn't vintage then, but it is now.

I've recently gotten on a Zane Grey kick. Just finished "The U.P. Trail". Great book.

I have a TV from the early 1960s. It's really a fine piece of furniture which I use to place trinkets and photos on top. I've been thinking that it would be cool to take out the guts and put a flat screen TV where the cathode tube would have been.
