You need to save them to an online photo share place like photobucket or flickr, then use the link that will be provided after you save it (sorry, my words aren't coming out right!). Hope that makes some sense. :offtopic: I've been to Moose Jaw!!

Best repro/retro patterns for vintage styles

If you sign up on the Vogue/McCalls/Butterick website for their newsletter emails, they seem to have a sale on one or other of the brands every week or so! I've only bought once because of the horrendous shipping; I just waited until there were 3 or 4 patterns I wanted at once and they were all...

    Are you a Military wife?

Me too! I'm a military fiancee. Mine is in the RAAF. Currently he's in the middle of a six month deployment to Afghanistan. He'll be back at the end of July thank goodness. Hurrah! :D

Amanda from ruffled.com did a post on Old Hollywood dresses a little while ago. http://ruffledblog.com/2010/02/1930s-wedding-dresses-by-johanna-johnson/ The featured designer is from here in Australia, but maybe you will see something to inspire you. The dress I am wearing to my wedding in...

    Vintage Weddings

We're having to have a second 'wedding' in a catholic church a week after the 30s style one to satisfy my in-laws. It's going to be a bit more casual, so I'm going to go more of a 50s style tea length with a bird cage veil/hat effect. I bought a pattern for the dress yesterday - now to find...

    Show us your vintage patterns!

I bought this one yesterday. I'll find an appropriate wedding thread to put more details of what I am planning.

Gabardine is a weave not a fiber: The fabric and fiber content terminology thread

There will be a way... it most likely involves burning a sample though. I'm stretching my mind back to textile theory class about 15 years ago, so I won't claim anything definitive, but if you burn rayon, I think it should burn like cotton - smells a bit like wood smoke, leaves powdery ash...

    The Pinup Thread

I got mine from mybabyjo. I'm also not the most well endowed, and it looks fine on me - I don't think I'd want to swim laps in it though! ... and this now seems an appropriate moment to add some photos from the pinup for a day shoot I did last year...

    All things Sewing Machines!

Hi Sugar Kitten - from your collection of photos you took, do you have one that shows the front of the machine clearly? It's a bit difficult to see the threading in the one you posted. :-) J

I ordered two pairs of shoes today: and Thanks for the encouragement, oh ye of the 'should I could I' thread :) (BTW I always intended to buy the red ones, only had doubts about the others). Postage for two is only slightly more than for one!

    Should I or Shouldn't I?

I like this theory! Thanks Blondie :) SayCici - I've never been into loafers, just a personal preference. Thankyou for trying to think of alternatives for me though! I'm probably going to get them. Definitely swaying towards the Yes side!
