Very random question, but my McCoy's N1 came with the drawstring cords undone. I'm trying to tie them similar to what's shown in the photo, but I cannot figure it out. I'm literally useless at this moment. Can anyone explain this to me?

Hey everyone, I just had the sleeves shortened on my McCoy's N1. I posted a link to a video in which the tailor explains how they performed the alteration. Essentially, they opened up the seam on the alpaca inner lining, shortened it and then re-attached the storm cuff, sewed it back up, and...

I might post a new thread on this (and to show the video), but here's the RMC post-sleeve shortening.

I did try it on when I was in there and the one tailor marked it off, so hopefully this will be a one-off without any further alteration required.

It looked higher up when they were marking it off in the shop. It might have been the angle in the video, but I suppose if it comes out and I need further alteration, they'd be able to do so.

I'll make sure to ask about keeping the excess materials, including the alpaca. They told that they've been doing this their entire life and if they couldn't keep the integrity of the jacket, they would have turned down the job. I'll keep everyone updated on how the finish product turns out.

I asked them about tapering and they said they did not think it would be necessary. However, I have until Thursday to make any additional requests, ask questions, or cancel the job. They quoted me $150 due to the nature of the job. I'm not sure if that's DC pricing (everything here costs more)...

Is the civilian/blue A-2 considered to be a rarer version that I'd be better off getting a repro, should I choose to do so in the future?
