I was very shy to wear a hat in public, but slowly I put them on here and there. I think most people don't care, I mean look at what others wear these days. Blue hair, facial piercings, they wear their pajama's in public, I mean they look horrific. So being well dressed or having a hat on, yes...
I can't seem to find a fedora cotton styled hat. I want to buy a cotton hat that I can wear at work outdoors that has a fedora like appearance. I can't seem to find any, only bucket hats. Any recommendations? Thanks. 2 inch brim is fine.
I bought my first Churchill not sure what decade it's from but the felt is very soft and I love it. It's so soft and not floppy at all that I don't need to steam it to mold it. It's beautiful.
I bought an Adam hat that I think is from the 60's and though the brim is too short being less than 2" the softness of the crown is something I have not experienced in my other hats that are newer hats from recent decades. Being new to fedora's I would love to find something new that had this...
Awesome, thanks for answering. Yes, it can be a little confusing. I understand formal intimate spaces, but yeah in the military you take off your hat anytime you go indoors. Your answers helped. I'm new to the fedora wearing, with a baseball cap I wore it everywhere practically.
Is it ok to wear hats in stores such as walmart or the supermarket? I know you should not wear a hat in places such as church, another person's home, or in a hospital and more. I want to have proper hat etiquette. I know today's world is very informal, but I want to do the proper thing.
Hello, I want to buy a good quality Whippet, not a knock off. They all seem to be sold out or their cheap and I'm questioning their authenticity. $200 budget.
I'm having a hard time finding pants that can worn for semi formal and casual moments with a dress shirt or sports coat. I live in warm weather, but wouldn't mind something with wool or cotton that doesn't look cheap yet isn't very expensive. I don't like the slim skin tight fit that's popular...
These are all great recommendations. I saw an Akubra Stylemaster for $160 with UPF protection. I'm leaning toward this one right now. Acorn color should go with most other colors I imagine.

I'm willing to spend more if it's for a good quality hat that will last for a very long time and is durable.
I like the Stratoliner, Mr. isallgood suggested, I would like a felt hat but not sure how it would wear in warmer weather.
Great recommendations, thanks. I'll take a look. I sometimes wear a linen newspaper boy cap, but I want something more than just a cap. I work mostly outdoors.
