    30s-40s British Workwear Influenced Style

Looks good Eddie, can I ask what is the stripe shirt that you are wearing in the earlier pic?

How about these flannel collarless shirts, at a price that won't break the bank too, they also stock these by Magee which I prefer.

    The Filson Thread

The one pictured above is the single mack that I sold on. I don't have pics of the double mack on this computer. The fit of the double mack is perfect, room enough to add an extra layer if the temperature really dips.

    The Filson Thread

I eventually got a Double Mack, in size 44 unbelievably (I am a 38 actual chest!) Got it for a song too, looks virtually unworn. To the guy who is currently looking for one, keep at it that bargain might be waiting right around the corner. I eventually paid £70 (approx $110) for it.

    Writing / logos on clothing.

I don't tend to display logos, at least not because they are the must have logo. My Carhartt gear has their logo on but it is small and Carhartt is my go to workwear and I choose it because it is the best workwear for me and the cattle don't really care what I wear as long as I do my job. 1950s Mackinaw bought for a song.

Great score and even better price. I have one too and love it it gets the most wear in winter. I have a Filson Double Mack but it needs to get seriously cold to break that one out.

    Woolrich Coat

I have one of these, great coat and warm too. The collar stands up well to keep the wind out. I have a Filson Double Mackinaw too another excellent coat almost too warm for England, virtually bullet proof.

    Horse labeled as beef ...

Please no, horse hide, when compared to cow hide, is like tissue paper and it's a god awful job to skin them without marking or nicking the hide.

    Horse labeled as beef ...

Because a horses hide is worthless. Were I work (knackers yard) we don't even skin horses they are not worth the bother. They just get shipped out to the rendering plants.

Terminology: US vs. UK - 1942

I am that soldier and I am unapologetic for it, it's what I am. I must confess though I really hate the term "whatever" and never has it passed my lips.
