No worries. I am aware, of the timeframes, from reading all the posts. Even though his prices are very reasonable for a custom lid, or a quality production lid for that matter, it is a fair chunk of change for me. So, I'm in no rush and will take my time with the details of my order.

I think the moonstone is a great color. I wear earth tones and blues/blacks which is why I'm trying to figure the most versatile color to get. Only one hat is feasible for me right now.

I wish I could get the deluxe but the imperial is pricey enough for my budget. I saw some of the fawns pictured but they looked really tan. Or, is that just the way they show up online?

Ok, I get it now. The Adventurer is definitely out for me but the hatsdirect Fed IV is still a strong consideration and kind of what I'm leaning towards. The other consideration would be the Fedora(not Sydney) and the Stylemaster. Before all you enablers jump in with the "buy all three"...

Sorry for the confusion. When I say "Fed" I'm refering to the Fed(Federation) IV. As far as the Sydney vs. Fedora, I would go for the Fedora just because of the slight differences.

I see David Morgan has the Fed in mid brown and hatsdirect has it in dark brown. The pictures look to be the same color. Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the two?

That looks way different(read better) than the standard hat shot on the websites selling that hat. Ok, more things to consider. I think I'm going to have to just get to the point where I make a decision and stick with it.

I have considered the stylemaster. The pics on the websites make the crown look like they have quite a taper. I know the sydney is very close which is why I was looking at that one over the stylemaster since it has the cut edge. It's a tough decision. I wish there were some photo galleries...
