Thanks to everyones input on this tread I ended up with one of HPA's Buzz Rickson+William Gibson Black N-1's. I can not be more stoked on this jacket. Construction is outstanding and this thing is warm. HPA was a pleasure to deal with as well.
Anyway, I appreciate all the input!

Yea Im pretty fortunate that Sweet Routine was a well documented bird. This jacket is by far my most prized posession. Coolest thing is my grandads military ID still in the pocket.

My Grandfather was also a co-pilot on a J model Named "Sweet Routine" that operated out of the Pacific. Below are pics of his flight jacket I have.

While I havent owned Unbrandeds 21 oz offering, I have owned both Unbrandeds normal weight and Iron Hearts 634s in 21 oz. That being said for being an "entry level" brand, Unbrandeds quality and denim are fantastic, and I keep mine in normal rotation.
