Im getting the grey one this Friday , hope mines not too wonky. I checked out a few black ones at a hat shop yesterday and they flipped down fine. Berkeley hat shop didnt have my size so had to order online.

Whats been the stranger part of this was when I searched for stetson yucatan nothing shows up but searching for the model W1196 brings up a "Gallup" , hat looks similar but not quite the same so that was puzzling . Your link is first time I have seen another image of whatever it is I have.

Yes , however shantung or washi and toyo are still paper straws regardless of being plasticized. Toyo can also be shellac-ed . Other words they arent all plasticized, and need not be in order to be called shantung or toyo. But still looking for someone that might know the cost of this when...

Having no luck searching for more info on this Stetson, Inside tag says Yucatan and model number says W1196 but searching for that brings up hats that look nothing like this one. Thing I want to know most would be cost of this when it was offered . Crown is tall , around 5 1/2 inches.

How it looked at the sale .

I will be working on this Akubra that was shipped from Good will in a plastic bag. I have purchased other hats from Good will before and they were always at least shipped in a box , not sure how this happened. Its an Akubra it should steam right back .
