This is the Lawson in Heritage fawn with an unbound brim. This is the original look.

Lowered the front of the crown some. Removed the pinches. Did some more work on the brim

Freshly flattened

Flattened the brim. Lowered the back of the crown about half an inch. Added head bubble. Removed the lining.

How old is the one you purchased on Ebay? Is it possible the felt isn't thinner, just broken in, compared to your brand new one. My Akubra new was like a rock. The more I beat on it and get it wet etc the softer it feels.

Swore I wouldn't buy a second hat. My Akubra is great around the farm and in the woods etc but I went to town with the family the other day and it proved a bit cumbersome sooooooooi present to you my new Stetson Stratoliner S.E. in Sage WOW. What a great hat.

Also, as far as hat depth goes, that might be an issue. The top of my head already touches the crease in the top. I measured my head with hair at a 58 and without my hair at a 57.5 so I went with the 58 and sometimes I feel like it is sitting too low on my head, especially when I start...
